The Stonehouse on Pine Square In Williamsport PA

Last Friday night we went to the Stonehouse for Pizza, followed by a horse drawn carriage ride around Williamsport.

It was a wonderful evening!

We had an address, but had not been to this area in awhile.  We drove down Pine Street, and I thought we had the wrong address. We parked at Kohls, and walked back.

Pine Square is an Alley, and it's gorgeous.  It's hard to believe you are still in Williamsport when you walk back here!

There are two restaurants here - the Stonehouse & The Brickyard
Both have outdoor seating.

We sat outside.

There was not live music this night, but we could hear the music from the Brickhouse next door - it was nice.
I had the Moscato and it was sooooooo good!
 Bruschetta

The food was amazing.  Absolutely amazing.

Wine, beer, appetizer, pizza, and tip - just over $40.  We were REALLY happy with that price.

Temperature of the oven when we were there.

After dinner we took a horse drawn carriage ride.  Billtown Buggies is parked at the opposite end of the alley.  :-)  It was a wonderful evening out - I'd recommend it!

Muncy Heritage Park & Nature Trail

601 Pepper Street, Muncy Pa

Muncy Heritage Park is a wonderfully park located across from the river in Muncy.  There's a nice trail around a pond, a bird blind, picnic tables, a pavilion , and SO much history!

The Canal Path In Watsontown PA

Along the Canal Path, in Watsontown Pa

This is a beautiful, well maintained path, but it can be difficult to find the access if you are not familiar with the area.

From the north end of town, when the path opened, both the West Milton Bank and the American Legion said their parking lots could be used to access the trail.  Since then, West Milton Bank has put up signs stating that parking is for bank customers only, so I am not certain if that has changed.  Often there are open parking spots at the senior high rise, along the trail, too, as well as across the street in the lot at the former elementary school

Once you figure out where to park, look for the row of trees between the Bank and the senior high rise.  There will be a trail sign in front of them

If you stand by the new Canal Path sign in front of the bank, the trail begins right at the back of the parking lot for the highrise.

To access the path from the South - park in the parking lot beside the bridge.  Walk past the bridge on to Elm street.  Walk past a couple of houses, and at the end of the sidewalk there will be a driveway on your left.  [almost directly behind the Masons building on Main street.  If you walk straight down the alley between D&D's and the Masonic Lodge, then cross Elm, the entrance will be back that driveway.

It will feel like you are walking on private property - you are walking between a house and a parking area for the house, but as soon as you walk onto the driveway you can see the path down on your right.

Watch for turtles, and woodpeckers, and often we see deer here too!

Find a photo album of various things I've seen while walking on the path:
