Some of the Many Events Happening This Week-end!

There are so, so many fun things happening around us this week-end!   As my husband keeps telling me, "we can't do everything"  - but I keep trying.  :-)  If you attend some of these events that I cannot possibly get to, could you let me know what you thought?  Thanks!

Friday -
A lot of the events for today are being postponed of cancelled, due to the weather forecast.

11am - as long as it doesn't thunderstorm too hard for me to get the goats there, I am taking baby goats to the library program at the Montgomery House Library in McEwensville. I know that is confusing, it's the Montgomery house library, but it is not located in Montgomery.  It's in McEwensville.  The library was a home, donated by the Montgomery sisters.  Thus the name.

In Watsontown (possibly postponed due to the weather - for updates, check here)  Friday night there is a concert by Fully Loaded, a talent competition (no registation needed, just show up to compete), and a movie - Sing.  All at the Canal Boat pavilion -

Friday night, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Canal Boat. We Bring a blanket or chair and stop out to enjoy the music. Don't worry if you forget your chair there are picnic tables. Food will be available to purchase!
Friday night - Movies in the Park - We will be playing the movie SING. We will have a small talent show prior to the movie. You do not need to sign up, just show up. Each participant will receive a small token of thanks for your participation. Free popcorn provided by West Milton State Bank. Starts at 8!

In Muncy it is 4th Friday (also likely to be affected by the weather - check for updates here)
With lots of vendors and activities, this is a fun event.  If it's cancelled this month, mark your calendars for July - this happens every fourth Friday.  :-)

Muncy Professional & Business Association is happy to continue to host the Muncy Fourth Friday Events. This event is a free event with entertainment, food, crafts, and street vendors along with kids activites and special character visits. You will not want to miss this event. The street is closed to allow for family safety as well.

The Lewisburg Fireworks are scheduled for Friday night, but it looks like they might be moved to Sunday.

I don't know how much of an event this will be, but if you are in Lewisburg, it certainly looks entertaining and worth checking out.  Ben's Costume Closet has moved downtown Lewisburg  and will be having their grand opening
In case you haven't heard, we've moved to Lewisburg! We considered throwing a medium-sized re-opening, but came to our senses and said 'Nay, this shall be a GRAND reopening!'

It certainly has been an adventure, and like a cheesy 90s after-school special, we learned some important things along the way. For example, we learned that you can fit 18 Easter Bunny heads in a Mercury Sable. We learned that Victorian-era ladies' hats must have evolved and learned to procreate, because that's the only explanation for how we ended up with so many. If they become sentient, be on the lookout for the classiest revolt of all time. We learned that mannequins are terrifying en masse, even if (especially if?) you take them apart.

I want to extend a humongous thank you to the fine folks in Sunbury for supporting us for the last three years, and to the fine folks in Lewisburg, who've been nothing but accommodating so far.

Come check out the new store - we've got an amazing selection of products for sale and for rent! Ben's Costume Closet - because life is too short to be mundane!

The Muncy Pool is having their community day - FREE admission swimming!
Come cool off at the Pool for our first community day of 2017! Free admission! Thank you so much to our sponsors. Rick Lowe CPA and Attorney Layne Oden. Both are located on Main Street in downtown Muncy. We truly appreciate your continued support.

In Williamsport, it's the Annual Homemade Days in Brandon park.  (although they lost me at "not pet friendly" - I do not attend many events without Molly. )

A beautiful arts & crafts show at Brandon Park in Williamsport, PA. All handmade items and many crafts, food & drinks, even plants & flowers. We hope to see everyone there and this a kid-friendly-non smoking-no addmission price event that unfortunately is NOT PET FRIENDLY. Hours Friday 23rd 10AM-7PM Saturday 24th 9AM-4PM

Brushy Mountain Bee Farm's Field Day is this Saturday  - a full day of beekeeping seminars, in New Columbia Pa.

Come join us for a full day of beekeeping seminars and hands-on workshops that bring together some of the best and brightest beekeepers and honey bee researchers throughout the nation.

We are excited to offer the opportunity for local beekeepers to engage with beekeeping experts they may not otherwise have. This is an educational event for all beekeepers and we hope that those who participate will learn new tips and tricks to use in their bee yard and share with other beekeepers.

No matter your level of experience, you will come away with tons of great material. Whether you're an experienced beekeeper, a new-bee or someone who has always been intrigued by beekeeping but never knew where to start, there will be something new and exciting for everyone!
