Kayaking Lake Jean (At Ricketts Glen)

Normally I prefer to kayak the river, over lakes.  Lakes are great for groups, so we can share kayaks, and for when we do not want to move vehicles back and forth.

Lake Jean is my favorite of the three lakes we have kayaked so far.  It is SO pretty!  Be sure to get close around the edges.

 This is an island  - people had pulled thier kayaks up on the island and were picnicking here.

This is the Western Boat Launch, near the visitors center, where we put in. It's at the opposite side of the lake from the boat rental place, making this a less crowded area.  There were other people here, but not nearly as many as over near the beach, where you can rent kayaks.
