Mill Creek Falls In York County

Mill Creek Falls
Parking Coords/Trail Head - 39.8193989,-76.3362546
(There are two falls on a roughly 10- 5 minute easy walk)

There's no actual parking lot here, but plenty of pull off area along the dirt road. There were 4 or 5 other vehicles parked here when we stopped.

If you are looking for an easy fall to walk to, you can't get much easier than this one is Airville Pa. You can almost see the falls from the road.  The short walk is on a trail that is about as close to flat as I have ever tread for a waterfall.  There is some incline, but it's gradual and practically unnoticeable.  And it's a very short walk - you will be at the falls in about 5 minutes time.
The Trail To The Falls

A steep path will take you to the bottom of the falls, but you can get a good view of  the falls from the trail at the top.

At the top of the falls is an easy to get to area with a small pool above the cascade.

This was definitely one of the easiest waterfall trips we've ever made.  Which is nice, because we'll be visiting again...  since I did not realize there is a second waterfall here!  Another 5 or 10 minutes on the same easy trail is Upper Mill Creek Falls - and it looks like we missed a beautiful waterfall!  That's ok - we missed the Holtwood Dam Overlook too, so I definitely want to get back to this area at some point.

We did see the nearby Lock 12, and the lime kilns there.
