North Branch Canal Trail, Danville Pa

We found this trail, as we find most trails, through a geocache.  A really, really awesome geocache - if you are a geocacher, you should definitely do this one!

GPS Coords for the parking area at the start of the trail - N 40° 56.553 W 076° 34.967
It's located on River Rd, very close to the boat launch.  If you navigate to 1804 River Drive, Danville, PA 17821 (The Happy Camper) just go another 1/10th of a mile and it will be on your right.

When we first arrived, an eagle took off from the tree right at the start of this path.

This is a very short, level, path.  There are picnic tables and benches, and a porta potty at the start.
There are mile markers - right now the trail is only .4 miles long, but there are plans for it to eventually be a 6 mile long trail.

There's a railroad on one side of the trail, and the river on the other.  It's a really nice path.
