VII. Frederick Stauffer Whitman, born Montg co, Pa,
July 8, 1814; m Sarah Keely. She was b Dec 181
1813 ; died Sept 16, 1890. P O Watsontown, Pa.
They lived for many years on the old homestead near
Boyertown. He was a skilled .workman in wood and
the inventor of several useful implements. Believing
a manufacturing town better adapted to the prosecution of his favorite occupation he moved to Watsontown, Pa, where his mechanical genius proved quite
remunerative. After acquiring a competence and
educating his children he retired from active business,
and is now enjoying a ripe old age in the midst of
