The Aline Covered Bridge

The Aline Covered Bridge, also known as the Meiservielle Bridge, is located over the north branch of the Mahantango Creeek. It is a 60 ft Burr Truss Covered Bridge.  
It was built in 1884, and restored in 2001
In 1979 it was added to the National Register of Historical Places.

In 1981 the bridge was damaged by a car, and closed.  A decision was made to build a new bridge for traffic, and to restore the Aline bridge, which now has a picnic table inside.
