The 2020 Sunflower Fields In The Game Lands Near Elimsport

There are at least two fields of sunflowers in the game lands near Elimsport this year.  The fields are very close together, but there are two ways to access them.

From 15, take 44 west.  Turn right on Mill road, just as if you were going to see the Alvira Bunkers.   You will drive past a parking area on your right, and go to the second parking area. As the road turns left, go straight into the parking area.  (The address may be 509 Mill Road, according to my photos)
Once parked, you will see a gate.

Go through the gate, and right now, you will come to a "path" through really high weeds.

Some of these are close to 6 foot high, but there is a bit of a foot path, and it's really not hard to walk through.  It's also not far.

There will be a tree line on your right, when you come to the end of the trees, look to your right and you will see one field, then look straight ahead, and if you look through the break in the treeline ahead, you'll see the other field there.

The field off to the right.

Total distance from parking to the upper field is maybe 1/4 of a mile - or a little less.

Second Option -
(I haven't done this recently and cannot tell you how tall the grass/weeds is on these paths.)
Go back the way you came, and stop at that first parking area that you drive right past.  Walk through the gate and to the end of the path, turn left, and walk up the hill.  This will be a longer walk, but still not too far.  It will bring you out on the other side of the sunflower field you see on the right in the first set of directions.

At The Game Lands

There are frequently sunflower fields in the Game Lands, great places to take photos!  Where exactly they are located changes from year to year.  This was where to find them in 2020.
