Sonestown Covered Bridge

The Sonestown covered bridge was built around 1850, to provide access to the Hazen gristmill.
This bridge is located very near the Sonestown VFW, where a History Buffs Breakfast is held on the 3rd Monday of each month.  [So I visit this one regularly.]

The bridge was repaired in 1969 and after flood damage in 1996, 2005, 2013, and 2020. It was also restored in 2001.

The bridge is Burr Truss construction, thought to be constructed by Sadler S. Rogers, who built most of the bridges in that area.
