Pier 87

We were in Williamsport geocaching, when our son came home from MEPS, after his ASVAB test.  He arrived at the recruiters office in Williamsport, and we wanted to meet up with him, before we all drove home, to celebrate his ASVAB scores.  My best friend had told us about Pier 87, and this seemed like a good night to check it out.

The weather was just nice enough to be outside - they had the porch open.  We chose to sit out there, as did many others.  There's a sand beach area, with a firepit that had a fire going, and a beautiful view of the creek.

The food was GOOD.  Really, really good.  Service was great.  I had the firepit salad, and it was so good that I'll have trouble trying other items  from the menu.  A bed of greens topped with sauteed onions, peppers, mushrooms, then topped with their brewed fries and some cheese.  It was so good that our meat loving teenage son thought maybe he should have ordered the salad. The guys had  sandwiches - the pork, and the roast beef. They loved those too. You can see the full menu here: http://www.thepier87.com/menu.html

The prices are very reasonable.  I think my salad was around $11, and the sandwiches around $9, with another $1 or $2 for the french fries on the side.  Our entire bill, for the 3 of us, before tip was $38 - and we took food home with us.
And the carved tree along the creek is just a really cool feature.
Definitely to be  added to one of our favorite places to eat!
