Breaking Bread Company, in the Former Klees Corner Building

The Breaking Bread Company has moved from the Farmers Market to the former Klees Corner building, on Hepburn St in Milton.

Menus can be found on the table, or on the counter over the Hershey's freezer on the right.  Once you know what you want to order, go to the counter to place your order.

There are two tvs in this very small dining area, but the volume was low enough that we did not find them too overwhelming.  I admit I had concerns when I saw them, but we were able to ignore them completely.  (The last thing I want to listen to while I eat is politics of any sort.  I am leery of small town restaurants with lots of daytime tv streaming.  )

We had ordered cajun fries, a gyro, and a chili cheese burger.  They brought the fries out to us fresh and hot, before the rest of our food, almost as an appetizer.  They were cooked perfectly, not the least bit soggy.

The gyro came with chips and a pickle.  Main Street Grill in Muncy still makes the best gyro around, hands down - but this one was REALLY good.  And only $5.95!

A closer look at the gyro.

Dan had the chili cheeseburger, and he liked it very much as well.
Neither one of us ate the chips - we had ordered fries - but we did sample the chips and they were..  not up to the quality of the rest of the food on the plate.  They felt like plate filler, a carb laden version of parsley.  (This is not unusual in diners - Gram's in Lewisburg is the exception, their chips are outstanding on their own.)  The pickles were good!

Drinks are from the cooler, where the ketchup is also stored, in case you are looking for it.  The cooler was having an issue while we were there - drinks were soaking wet in condensation.  I'm sure they will get that figured out before long. In the meantime, there are napkin dispensers on the tables  - take a couple with you when you grab your drink.

I'm excited to see their breakfast menu - there are not a lot of good breakfast restaurants in Milton, so it's really nice to have a new option.
