The Fall Festival In Montgomery Will be October 7th 2023

Pumpkin Roll at 4pm

In the town of Montgomery Pa, each fall you can purchase a pumpkin to enter into a race.

No running shoes required - the pumpkin will be doing all of  the racing, you can stand, or even sit,  along the sidewalk to cheer your gourd on from there.  Choose your contestant wisely, and you could win as much as $200.  

The Montgomery Fall Festival includes vendors in the park, and one of my favorite fall events, the Pumpkin Roll.  

Purchase your ticket for $5, and then choose a pumpkin.  Your ticket number will be written on the pumpkin, then loaded onto a dump trailer.  All of the pumpkins are driven to the top of the hill on Houstan Ave, and then  dumped, so that they roll down the hill in a pumpkin race.  The first ten pumpkins down the hill are winners, with the first pumpkin traditionally winning $200! 

This years Pumpkin Roll, which benefits the Montgomery Volunteer Fire Co., will be October 31.

The festival is Oct 31 from 10-4 pm, and vendors are still wanted. Contact the Fire Company for a vendor application.
