Five Can't Miss Fall Festivals

Mark your calendars for these fun fall events in the Central Susquehanna Valley.

1. The Hot Air Balloon Festival in Hughesville
The Balloonfest, Air Show, and "so much more" festival is held each September at the Lycoming County Fairgrounds in Hughesville.  This years festival will be held September 14th, and includes a heavy equipment rodeo!  The fairgrounds will host a variety of vendors, and provide a great viewing area for the events, including airplanes, sky divers, and tethered hot air baloon rides.

Untethered hot air balloon rides can be purchased in advance, and take off each morning and evening, weather permitting, that week-end.  While there is a fee to enter the festival grounds, it is free to watch the balloons take off for these flights.  You can also watch them land all around the area, often in nearby Lime Bluff Park.
