Yost Run Falls, In Sproul State Forest, October 2019
Yost Run Falls, and very nearby Kyler Fork Falls, are located a little over a mile down a gated dirt road that passes two hunting camps. (You have to walk, the gate will be locked). And I do mean DOWN. Once you go around the gate, you wil gradually walk down, down, down, and then it will be steeply down, down, and then you turn the corner, leaving the road and taking a very narrow path gradually down some more.
Which means, on the way out, it's all uphill. It's really not a bad walk, in the cool fall temps, but our legs sure were sore the rest of the night.

Then just a few feet further down, and off to your left, across the creek, you will see the feeder stream with Kyler Fork Falls. These falls are really very close together. If you make the trip to see Yost Run Falls, be sure to walk the few more feet to see Kyler Fork falls as well! Even in October there was water coming over both falls - although I'm sure they are much fuller in the spring.
Getting There:
As you are traveling up 144, the falls are between the German Settlment Reclamation Area, and Two Rock Run Vista.
You will be parking at roughly N 41° 10.607 W 077° 52.933
Turning at the Sign for the Chuck Keiper Loop Trail
And parking in a large parking area.
From there you follow the road back to two gates - a rusted gate straight ahead, and a yellow and black gate on the left. You want to go to the left, around the yellow and black gate.
On the road to the falls, in October. You will come to the first hunting cabin fairly quickly.
The entire walk is through a very wooded area, and we didn't see another person anywhere around.
When you finally come to the second cabin (and it felt like a long way between the two) the path goes to the right, between the trees here. You won't miss it, it's really obvious that you turn - and the trees are marked.
Then the path turns into a very narrow trail for a bit, as you walk along the creek. At this point, you are almost there, just a bit further...
And before long, you will come up behind Yost Run Falls.
As you walk a bit further, and it's really only a bit, not far at all, look off to your left, and you will see Kyler Falls.
