Lincoln Falls Waterfall
Along Kings Creek in the village of Lincoln Falls,
Elkland Twp., Sullivan County, Pennsylvania.
Lincoln Falls is now on private property and not accessible to the public.
" Most of our people, at different times during the season, have visited the Lake, and all report themselves to be highly delighted with the place and their entertainment. Several parties have also driven from the Lake to Lincoln Falls, stopping at Forksville for dinner Mine host of the Snyder House knows how to entertain both city and country folks. Lincoln Falls is about four miles west of Forksville, and is an exceedingly romantic place, being a combination of glen, ravine and falls. Sept. 4, 1882."

This was a place I loved to visit- the no trespassing crap sucks.
ReplyDeleteThe no trespassing crap does suck, but the insurance for it sucks even worse. Multiple accidents over the years because of the rocks being so slippery. It is incredibly tough to get Ems down there for rescue. So, its private to protect the public. Thank the lawyers for that one. Oh, and the littering, sooooo many beer cans and trash.
