Today, The Allenwood Fire Company
The White Deer Valley Fire Company was organized on February 13 1946, to protect valley homes. In April of 1946 they received their charter. Membership in April of 1946 was 84 charter and 45 active members. Officers were: President Norman Rake Jr, Vice President Fred Weaver, Treasurer J. Baily Russell, Secretary Oliver Coates, Directors: Brady Russell, Carl Berger, & Walter Meek.
In May of 1946, The Susquehanna Ordinance Works assisted the firemen in purchasing a pumper from the War Surplus Equipment.
In July of 1948, The P.O.S. of A. hall was purchased by the White Deer Valley Fire Company.
In May of 1966 the fire hall was demolished to make room for a new hall.

1977 - The White Deer Valley Fire Company buys their first new piece of equipment
In 1982 the White Deer Valley Fire Company Changed their name to Allenwood Fire Company, due to confusion over having two similarly named fire companies in neighboring towns. The White Deer Twp Fire department is located in New Columbia.
