For the Tri-National Bank, 1971
While in a thrift store in Middleburg, I came across these six prints, all with a note on the bottom: "1971- An Original Watercolor - The Tri National Bank Collection - Middleburg Pa"
A quick newspaper search turned up the following advertisement:
In 1971, The Tri-National Bank commissioned James Dippery of Middleburg to paint a collection of paintings depicting scenes of historical interest.
Reproductions of the collection could be purchased for $10, or $2 each. A brochure written by Dewey S. Harrold described the historical background of each painting, and was included with the purchase.
The Prints:
The Middleburg Railroad Station
Hassenplug Covered Bridge, Mifflinburg
Governor Simon Snyder House, Selinsgrove
Graybill's Store, Richfield
Hassenplug Covered Bridge, Mifflinburg
