Visiting Bills Old Bike Barn

Bill's Old Bike Barn, Bloomsburg Pa
Don't let the name deceive you - this is much, much more than a "bike" barn.  This is several barns of collections.  Want to see an old dentist office?  A collection of old toys?  The Bar from the 1939 Worlds Fair?   The entire Schuyler Moustrap workshop?  It's all here - along with SO much more that you cannot possibly see it all.

But that's ok - you can go back often, as admission is just $5!

If you have traveled on route 11 in Bloomsburg, you have most likely driven right past without realizing it.  Turn at the dinosaurs, drive up the lane...

If you enjoy browsing old antique shops, you really do not want to miss this place.

Five old local barns were used to construct the museum, which has many rooms, and two floors.  They are constantly adding to the displays, so even if by some miracle you managed to see everything, there would be more the next time you visit!  Things are glued to the ceilings, wrapped around the star railings, and tucked into the skylights.

For an extra $5, you can borrow a device that will play recordings at a variety of displays, telling you the story behind them.  We loved this!

Inside is similar to the street of Shops in Lewisburg, as there are a variety of "buildings", including a post office, the governors room, and the 1939 Worlds Fair Room.

From their website:
"In a wooded grove on the hill behind his parts shop, Bill Morris began to fulfill his life long dream and established Bill's Old Bike Barn in 1998.

Years later we have close to 200 amazing vintage motorcycles in a 55,000 square ft building filled with some of the most extraordinary antiques from all around the world.

The museum is in a constant state of evolution as new items and collections are added regularly. "

There's even more to see outdoors.

"Bill collects the 1939 New York Worlds Fair memorabilia which is housed along Main St in Billville our little village constructed inside the building, complete with mock mansion, smoke shop, music store and our 1939 New York Worlds Fair Bar.

From military displays, vintage riding clothing, thousands upon thousands of posters and memorabilia, from John Wayne to John Deere and everything in between. There is something for any enthusiast at Bill's Old Bike Barn."

This is just one section of the museum.

There are numerous displays.  A Happy Days display, clown display, an iron display, a fire truck display, a phone display...

The entire building is a collection of collections.

The suit of armor is two stories tall!

This is a local sight to see that you really don't want to miss!
