William Raup's Landmark Pottery Series

In the 1990s, William Raup designed and made the Landmark Collection, a series of slip cast pottery recreations of historical buildings in the central Susquehanna Valley.

William was a 1969 graduate of Milton High school, and a 1971 gradate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.  Raups shop, on 11 Broadway in Milton, was known for it's three cats in the window.

Raup's collection are caricatures, not built to scale.  He would visit the site, and then make notes and rough field drawings.  When completed, the buildings were only available for sale through local civics groups, many of which used them as fundraisers.

Note - this collection is for sale at Huffs in Milton, a store that is known for its  higher than average prices.

A 1994 article in the Daily Item states that the Landmark Collections included buildings from the towns of  Milton, Muncy, Selinsgrove, Watsontown & Mount Carmel.
