Colley Falls
A 20 Foot Waterfall in State Game Lands 66, near Colley in Sullivan County PA
This possibly unnamed waterfall is located on a tributary of Smith Cabin Run in Colley Township, near the town of Colley, in state game lands 66, Sullivan County Pa. I haven't been able to find it named in any of my sources so far, but I do have a few more older guides to check. I'm going to refer to it as Colley Falls for now, as it is located near that town.
Parking Coordinates are: 41.524230, -76.290481
This will take you to a small state game lands parking lot, right beside a very small creek (little more than a ditch in this area), and directly across from a home.
Across the street from the parking area is a really unique mailbox.
We followed the creek, scrambling along the side for about a quarter of a mile. It was muddy and slippery, but we knew if we followed the creek, we wouldn't miss the falls.
There are a few pretty runs along the way. It is a short walk, and it's not a steep scramble, there was no big climb to get here.
There's no trail, and no real path. But it's not at all difficult to find, just a little slippery to get there.
The Waterfall is located at roughly N 41° 31.283 W 076° 17.501
To get to the base of the falls, you will likely have to get your feet a little wet.
These photos were from our visit 5/22. It was a wet spring, but hadn't rained much in the week before our visit. Based on that, I would suspect this may not be much more than a trickle by late summer, and that the best time to see this one would be soon after the spring thaw.
On the way out, we walked up a bit higher to dryer ground, making the walk out much easier.
